WOW! Spring has most definately sprung with fabulous prints and the most striking of colours...
This season is so inspirational and is pushing me more towards developing my own patterns to use on all sorts of products and fashion realated items..
The work of Mary Katranzou especially caught my eye, with her bold graphics and lampshade inspired pieces - amazing! view more of this collection here and past ones
Miu Miu & Kenzo have always been a favourite of mine and have definately come up with amazing collections this season...I am drawn towards the styling of the photoshoots in the Miu Miu campaign and the mix of colours from Kenzo - muted tones with vibrant hints of corals and turquoise
I am not normally a huge Stella Mccartney fan but I liked the use of a large botanical style print on this jacket, which isn't seen as often as the more bold graphic use of flowers, so I was drawn to its fresh appeal. View the collection here there are some beautiful dresses involved!
I added an Orla Kiely piece not particularly for pattern but for the bold use of colours and with the added styling of the bag, it is a definate must for spring...as you well know her prints speak for themselves and know you can not just wear them but have pieces for your home too! Well thats my fashion fix for today, I hope it has inspired you and made you think of the sunny days ahead, which are hopefully not too far away..we can be getting prepared anyway!!!
